Computers and Wi-Fi
Computer and Internet Use Policy
Public computers and Wi-Fi are provided free to library patrons on a first-come, first-served basis at all Library branches.Â
- Guest passes are available for patrons without a library card.
- Files are temporarily saved to Library computers and will be erased at the end of a session. Please save a copy of your work via email or a USB drive.
- Computers are assigned in one-hour time slots. Sessions may be extended in the absence of a waitlist. Educational use is prioritized over recreational use, and limits to the maximum time allowed each day are at the discretion of the supervising staff.
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while using the Library’s electronic resources.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is provided at all four branches during business hours.
Wireless networks are filtered to abide by the Children’s Internet Protection Act. St. John the Baptist Parish Library is not liable for the security of a patron’s device while connected to the Library’s Wi-Fi.
