St. John the Baptist Parish Library’s services extend beyond our physical locations. We are committed to providing community members with access to resources that support learning, creativity, and connection in a variety of settings. Our goal is to reach some of the highest-need and underserved populations throughout our parish, ensuring library services are available where they can make the greatest impact.
Beyond Our Walls
School Visits
St. John the Baptist Parish Library partners with local public and private schools as well as daycares to foster a love of reading. School visits are tailored to the age and needs of each group and may include story time, puppet shows, library resource overviews, and interactive activities.
Community Engagement
St. John the Baptist Parish Library is proud to be an active part of the community, attending local festivals, health expos, job fairs, and other community events throughout the year. At these events, staff often set up fun activities and provide information on the many free services available through the library, upcoming programs, digital resources, and library card registration.
Pop-up Programs
St. John the Baptist Parish Library can deliver unique, free programming adapted for any age group to reach members of the community who may not typically visit the Library. Please contact us regarding availability.
