Suggest a Library Event
While working on our Strategic Plan, our staff realized that our patrons needed an easy way to suggest programs for the St. John the Baptist Parish community. Anyone—individuals, organizations, or community groups—can send the library a program proposal. Just fill out this form to share your idea with us.
Our library's mission is to offer quality resources that reflect many points of view, create engaging and relevant programs, and build a stronger community through working together. We accomplish this by teaming up with people and groups who share our goals, serve the same community, or show a real commitment to meeting local needs.
Our team reviews program proposals by looking at how well they fit the library's mission and values, how they might engage and serve our community, how relevant and timely the topic is, the presenter’s experience with the subject, and the possible impact on our community. We especially welcome proposals with fresh ideas, that meet current community needs, and that support inclusivity and diversity.
Please send us your program proposal at least six to eight weeks before your preferred event date. Upon receipt of your proposal, our staff will review it and get in touch within two weeks to confirm we received it and explain what happens next. If we need more details, we’ll ask. Once we make a decision, we’ll let you know by email or phone.Â
Thank you from the St. John the Baptist Parish Library.
